The Villa is on the hills of Castiglione del Lago, near Trasimeno lake surrounded by a luxuriant and quiet park.

You can visit the farm and have pleasant strolls in the wood and, with a bit of luck you could see hares, deers and phaesants running in our fenced and protected garden.

The farm is proud to show its ostriches breeding, one of the most important in Italy, which produces gastronomic and leather products.

We organize excursions in the surroundings and guided tours to cities of art such as: Cortona, Perugia, Assisi, Città della Pieve, Chiusi, Chianciano, Arezzo, Siena, Orvieto.

With due notice we can arrange art guided tours to museums where you will be introduced to artists such as Perugino, Giotto, Beato Angelico, Pier Della Francesca, Simone Martini and Ambrogio Lorenzetti.

SERVICES AND FACILITIES

      The villa lies on top of Umbrian hills, near the Trasimeno lake in Castiglione del Lago commune. The farm is un untouched oasis on the lake coast where we cultivate genuine products following ancient traditions. Our farm is completely fenced and protected form human pollution. Phaesants, hares, squirrels, porcupines and owls run free in the area. We breed ostriches, and cultivate biologic products. The stable counts 250 cows for the production of milk that the central "Grifo" (which is our partner) sell all over Umbria. Each cow, when it is no more useful for milk production is inseminated with Chianino semen and give birth to an animal we have called Cerretane which is half Chianino and half Frisone. The meat we obtain from this animal contains few fat and is sweet and smooth. Honey: we produce the so called Cent'anni honey which is genuine, strong and not refined. Olive groves: they are composed of a mix of different modern and ancient trees, sweet agogia, moraiolo, frantoio and leccino which produce a delicious oil. Our vineyards counts selected wines according to Perugia University standards: Merlot, Cabernet, Sangiovese. Our ostriches are breeded in the open air. They eat our medical herbs and have fat free and smooth meat rich in Omega 3, which is a popular protection for our veins.
